I started my career at a large Defendant Legal Costs firm which I worked at for 10 years dealing with high value cases on behalf of commercial insurer clients as well as legal practices. From there I went to work for R Costings for 5 years as a Legal Costs Consultant where I acted on behalf of solicitor clients to recover or defend a claim for legal costs.

Most recently I worked for Compass Costs, again working on high value legal costs claims where I would assess and advise clients on risk and strategy for costs negotiations.

I have vast experience of negotiating legal costs and during this time I have worked on both Receiving and Paying Party costs which has given me a great insight into both sides’ arguments. The experience I have gained has given me the ability to provide sound advice on the likely outcome of cases, this is based on my involvement in many cases over the years and the results obtained following assessment whether that be Provisional or Detailed. I prepare both Points of Reply and Points of Dispute

In my spare time I enjoy keeping active and I am currently training for a marathon, having completed an Ironman 10 years ago I am trying my best to keep a grasp on my fading fitness! When not training, my two young boys keep me busy.
